QRP Competition

The New Jersey QRP Club has arranged and is encouraging participation in a QRP Competition being held as part of the New Jersey QSO Party on the weekend of August 19-21.

QRP operators  wishing to compete should send logs to the Englewood ARA sponsor of the NJQP (below).  You will be competing with all other stations.

Also send the summary of your log to NJQRP for your entry against fellow QRP stations. You may add 100 points to your score for each QSO with the NJQRP Club Station: WQ2RP.  (This is for the QRP Competition only).  E-mail summary is accepted.

Awards will be issued!

RULES:  New Jersey QSO Party

Sponsor: Englewood ARA

Time:      2000Z Aug 19 to 0700Z Aug 20 and
1300Z Aug 20 to 0200Z Aug 21

Modes:     Phone and CW. CW contacts may not be made in phone band segments.  

Suggested frequencies:
1810, 3535, 3950, 7035, 7135, 7235, 14035, 14285, 21100, 21355, 28100, 28400, 50-50.5, and 144-146.

Exchange:RST, QSO Number, and QTH (State/province or country). New Jersey stations will send county for their QTH.

New Jersey Counties:
Atlantic, Bergen, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, Hudson, Hunterdon, Mercer, Middlesex, Monmouth, Ocean, Passaic, Salem, Somerset, Sussex, Union.

Scoring:   3 pts/QSO
Out-of-state stations, QSO pts × NJ counties worked
NJ stations, QSO pts × states (but not NJ)/provinces/NJ counties (max, 40+12+21 = 82)

Logging:  Logs must show UTC date and time, call sign, exchange, band and claimed multiplier

Awards:  Logs and comments (incl. SASE for results) must be received no later than Sep 16 at: Englewood ARA, PO Box 528, Englewood, NJ 07631-0528
