FIREBALL RUN - II
PURPOSE:
The NJ QRP Club announced this
event to have the 600 + Jersey Fireball kits built up and on the
air. (It's FUN too.)
GENERAL:
The RUN is based on the QRP
ARCI Contest rules that most know well. Fireball users are the
members with numbers #1 or #2. Local time used for the contest.
WHO CAN ENTER:
Stations with Fireball, Fireball Plus (Amp kit fitted), or those
with ANY OTHER RIG.
DATE/TIME:
Sept 25, 1999 ... 9 am - 12 noon LOCAL TIME
FREQUENCY:
7.080 MHz primarily but you may use 3.540, 14.161 and 28.322 MHz
also.
EXCHANGE:
Fireball User - RST, S/P/C, #1
Fireball Plus User - RST, S/P/C, #2
Non-Fireballer - RST, S/P/C, Power Out
QSO POINTS:
Fireball or Fireball+ = 5
Non-Fireballer, different continent = 4
Non-Fireballer, same continent = 2
MULTIPLIERS:
S/P/C (State/Province/Country) total for all bands.
The same station may be worked on more than one band for QSO points and SPC credits.
POWER MULTIPLIERS:
0-50 mw = X 20; (The Fireball at 40 mw gets a break!)
50-250 mw = X 15;
250 mw - 1 W = X 10;
1-5 Watts = X 7;
Over 5W = X 1
SPECIAL FIREBALL
MULTIPLIER:
If your xmtr is a Fireball or Fireball+ with 100% QSOs, your
score may be multiplied by 2 for Fireball or by 1.5 with
Fireball+ for the final score.
FINAL SCORE:
QSO Points x SPC X Power Mult X Fireball Mult = Final Score
OPERATING
RESTRICTIONS:
Being a single frequency on each band, no station should call CQ
to hold the frquency. When you call CQ or QRZ, don't do it
again for 30 seconds unless another station does so.
MORE DETAILS:
Entry includes a copy of the logs and a separate summary sheet.
Include duplicate check sheets with entries of 100 QSOs or
more. Include a legible name, call and address.
All entries must be received within 30 days of the contest date. Indicate the output power for each band. The highest power used will determine the power multiplier. Output power is considered as 1/2 of input power. Include a description of homebrew equipment, commercial equipment, and antennas used with each entry. Include an SASE with your entry for a copy of the results. Results will be posted on QRP-L and the NJQRP Web Site, http://WWW.NJQRP.org The final decision on all maters concerning the contests rests with the contest manager. ETC, ETC, ETC.........
