Scoring & Reporting Instructions
Well I certaintly had a great time during the Doghouse Sprint, and want to thank everyone who participated in the LI-QRP and NJ-QRP clubs' first ever contest. I hope you had as much fun as I did. Here is a recap of the scoring and log info needed. Don't forget the bonus points below for battery and portable operation.
Please do me a HUGE favor and indicate on your log the following seperately if possible:
* Total Score
* Total number of unique area codes worked
* Total number of unique area codes with X suffix exchanged
* Total number of unique LI/NJ-QRP members worked
If you work an area code or member more than once please only count each once. This is my first attempt as contest manager, so please bear with me. I was not as clear as I could have been prior to the contest as I could have been on the scoring info, and I appologize for that.
Certificates will be awarded for the higest overall total score, most area codes worked, most extra area codes worked and most number of LIQRP/NJ-QRP members worked.
QSO points:
5 points for working LI/NJ-QRP members who exchanged an X suffix after their area code
2 points for all other area codes
Power Multiplier:
Less than1 watt x 10
1 to 5 watts x 7
Bonus points:
Portable location, battery operation with temporary antennas: 2,000 points
Battery operation from home location: 1,000 points
Total points:
(QSO points x power multiplier) + bonus points
IN ADDITION to these nice certificates, the top scoring participants in each of the 4 categories will be receiving one of the following:
- NorCal/K8FF Paddle Kit
- Rainbow Tuner Kit
- Joy of QRP book
- History of QRP book
